Arms of Milanówek

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 10, 1997.

The horseshoe with a Maltese cross and arrow is derived from the arms of Count Michał Lasocki, who initiated the establishment of a settlement from which modern Milanówek developed. The oak leaf refers to the natural values of Milanówek.

The arms replaced older arms, adopted in 1971.

The arms symbolise the two main industries at the time; textile en precision industries. The upper part shows a mulberry leave, the plant on which the silk worm, shown in the lower part, lives.
