The arms were officially granted on October 4, 2007.
The eagle with the cross in its beak represents a component element of the coat of arms of the Petru Pavel Aron de Bistra family.
The wavy bar means the Arieș river that crosses the locality.
The tree symbolizes the forest richness of the area.
