Official blazon

Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, încărcat cu o bordură verde. În câmp albastru scutul este tăiat de un brâu undat de argint. În partea superioară se află un ciorchine de strugure de aur. În partea inferioară se află o cruce cu laturile egale, lățite, de argint, încadrată de două spice de grâu de aur. În bordura verde se află 8 bezanți (turtițe) de aur. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu 3 turnuri crenelate.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 5, 2011.

Bunches of grapes signify the viticultural richness of the area. The wavy barrepresents the Danube-Black Sea Canal.

The cross signifies the Murfatlar Cave Ensemble - The Chalk Cave Churches, which represent the first church and the first cells of a monastery in Romania.

Wheat ears symbolize the basic occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture. The bezants represents the numerous national and international medals won by Murfatlar Romania.

The mural crown with 3 crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
