Département : Hérault

Blason de Prades-sur-Vernazobre

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 15, 2016.

The name Prades is derived from prés (meadows), which is symbolised by the green colour. The golden dragon is the symbol of St. Margareth and the wavy bar is the Vernazobre river.

The grapes refer to viticulture and the fleur-de-lys indicates that the area was historically a Royal Estate.
