KINDBERG
State : Steiermark
District : Mürzzuschlag
Origin/meaning
The arms are canting, showing a child (Kind) on a hill (Berg), surrounded by two flowers and two stars. The arms are already seen on a seal of the village dating from April 18, 1652. An older stamp for a seal exists, dating from the 16th century, which shows the same composition, but with the child facing the opposite direction, see image below.

In the late 19th century the arms were shown wrongly by Ströhl in the overview of city arms in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Instead of the flowers and two stars, now three stars were shown above the child and a beehive with bees was added.
