BELLENEUVE
Département : Côte-d'Or
French | D’azur semé de fleur de lyr d'or, à trois cailloux d'argent posés 2 et 1 en pointe et au soleil d'or en chef.
Origin/meaningThe field with the fleur-de-lys is derived from the arms of the Bèze Abbey, as the local church belonged to the abbey from 830 until the 18th century. The sun is taken as a symbol for Bellenus, the Celtic solar god. Near the village a temple devoted to him has been excavated and the name of the village may have been derived from his name. The three rocks refer to St. Étienne, the local patron saint. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
