Origin/meaning
The arms were designed in 1978.
The first quarter shows the arms of the Lords of Hattstatt, who owned the village from 1324-1585. The second and third quarter show the arms of their successors, the Truchsess family. The fourth quarter shows a typical historical symbol used on the borderstones of the village of Unterlinden.
