Escudo de Arnes

Official blazon

Escut caironat: de gules, 2 arnes d'or posades en faixa, acompanyades al cap d'una creu de Malta d'argent. Per timbre una corona mural de vila. |- |English | No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation |}

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 10, 1984.

The arms are canting: they show two "arnes" (Catalan for beehives). They include also the Cross of Malta, because Arnes belonged to the Templar (later Hospitaller) order of Horta de Sant Joan, a nearby village.
