Origin/meaning

Annopol received city rights in 1761, lost these in 1869 and received these again in 1969.

The arms show St. Anna, the patron saint of the town (the name means the field of Anna). The letters SA stand for Sancta Anna. The blue bordure symbolises the Vistula river.
