Official blazon

Sinisessä kentässä seitsemän luonnonväristä kultatukkaista nuorukaisen päätä asetettuina 2+3+2.

Origin/meaning

The arms are a symbol for the famous author Alexis Kivi, who originated from the town. His best-known work is named The Seven Brothers, hence the seven human heads.
