BORȘA

District/county (județ) : Maramureș

Stema Borșa

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 7, 2020.

The silver bend suggests the local ski slope.

The black chamois and the fir evoke the relief and the main natural riches of the area.

The Edelweiss flower, the queen of flowers, is found in the local flora.

The mural crown with three crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
