Wappen von Safien (district)/Arms (crest) of Safien (district)

The cross already appears in the oldest banner of the district, known since 1585. On the banner the first quarter shows a Paschal Lamb on a green ground. The lamb is the symbol of St. John Baptist, the local patron saint.
