Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on January 12, 2018.

The white eight-pointed cross on a red background or cross of Malta represents the historical belonging of the locality to Encomienda Hospitalera de Granyena.

The local patron is Saint Peter and in this shield he is also represented by his key.

The base shows the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon.
