Origin/meaning
The arms show symbols for summer and winter, as the area is an important tourist spot both in summer and winter. The axe in the escutcheon is derived from the oldest seal of Stará Lesná village, which showed St. Matthew, the old patron saint. His attribute is an axe. At present Stará Lesná uses different arms.
Literature: Kartous and Vrteľ, 2000
