DELFIM JORGE ESTEVES GOMES

Born : January 1, 1962
Deceased :

Auxiliary bishop of Braga, 2022-present; Titular Bishop of Dumium

Arms of Delfim Jorge Esteves Gomes

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The olive tree branch is a symbol of peace and provides fruit and oil, which is also reflected in the motto In dando quod accipis (It is giving that you receive). The colour of the field is also reflecting oliv oil.

The curved lines flowing from the Transmontan Northeast, suggest running water and remind of the mountainous landscape.
