Deceased :

Auxiliary bishop of Paderborn, 2015-present; Titular Bishop of Castro di Sardegna

Arms of Dominicus Meier

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The upper part shows the arms of the Archdiocese of Paderborn. The crown is taken from the arms of the Königsmünster Abbey in Meschede, where he was Abbot. The black cross is the symbol of the Archdiocese of Köln, as he was born and raised in the territory of that Archdiocese. The flower is a dog-rose flower and was already used by him as Abbot.
