Origin/meaning

The silver fleur-de-lys is taken from the arms of the Saint Vincent Abbey in Metz, as the abbey had large influence in the area and owned the local Saint-Baudier parish. The bend with the three towers is taken from the arms of the de Vy family, who owned the villages of La Maxe and Thury in the 15th century.
