Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1914.
The grapes already appear on the 18th century seal of the village. The silver and blue colours are those of Bavaria and indicate that until 1803 the area belonged to the Kurpfalz region of Bayern. The grape symbolises the importance of viticulture in the 19th century in the village.
At the beginning of the 20th century the village used a seal with different arms, as shown below:
