Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 16, 1995.
The arms show seven wheatears, one for each of the municipalities. They also refer to the agricultural character of the area. The colours are those of the Diocese of Halberstadt, to which the area belonged in medieval times.
To the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft belonged:
