Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a black wedge shaped embroidered device with rounded top bearing a Spanish Don wearing a white shirt, black pants with a waist sash, a red flowing cape and a black bolero hat, armed with a silver gray dagger and sword crossed over the chest within a red “V” shape. Attached above the wedge, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "VERDUGO HILLS" in red letters. All edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border. Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Origin/meaning

Red and black are the School’s Colors. The Don is the School’s Mascot. The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved 8 December 2006.
