WEIDENHAUSEN

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Marburg-Biedenkopf (until 1973 Biedenkopf)
Incorporated into : 1974 Gladenbach

Wappen von Weidenhausen/Arms (crest) of Weidenhausen
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 9, 1954.

The village had no historical seals or arms, new arms were thus needed. The arms symbolise the two main economic activities of the villagers at the time; industry (hammers) and agriculture (wheat-ears).
