Origin/meaning
Schwabenheim, or before 1903 Sauerschwabenheim, was a fortified imperial village until 1407. Hence the village seals always showed the imperial eagle since the 15th century.
The arms below were proposed in 1956 and show a two-coloured background, to distinguish the arms from the many other arms with the Imperial eagle. The city never adopted these arms.
