SILBERG
State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Marburg-Biedenkopf (until 1973 Biedenkopf)
Incorporated into : 1974 Dautphetal
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 24, 1956.
The two wings are taken from the arms of the Lords of Hohenfels, who played a major role in the local history. The green mountain (Berg) is a canting element. The trefoil indicates that the main activity of the village is agriculture.
