BELLAGUARDA

Region : Catalonia
Province : Lleida

Bellaguarda.png

Official blazon

Escut caironat: de gules, una torre d'argent oberta acostada de 2 moles d'argent nadillades de sable. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 21, 1998.

Canting arms: they show a watchtower (Bellaguarda means literally in Catalan "fine guard"). The millstones are canting too: they refer to the Moliné family ("moliner" is miller in Catalan), the founders of the village.
