Červeno-modře čtvrcený francouzský štít, v prvním poli český lev, ve druhém poli zlatá fontána s tryskající stříbrnou vodou, ve třetím poli stříbrná zkřížená hornická kladívka na zlatých topůrkách a pod nimi dvě zlaté zkřížené ratolesti, ve čtvrtém poli stříbrný korunovaný dvouocasý lev se zlatou zbrojí vyrůstající ze tří vlnitých stříbrných břeven.

Origin/meaning

The first field contains the Bohemian lion as the modern region contains territory of the historical region.

The second field contains a fountain to symbolize the abundant spas within the region.

The third field contains two crossed miner's hammers to symbolize the historical mining industry. The blue colour for the second and third field were chosen to complete the Czech tricolour with the red and silver of the other fields.

The fourth field contains the arms of Karlovy Vary as the capital of the region.

The arms were approved by the Karlovy Vary Council on the April 12, 2001 and registered on June 27, 2001.
