NO 727 SQUADRON, FAA
History: First formed in 1943 as a Fleet Requirements Unit at North Front, Gibraltar. The Squadron last reformed as the Darthmouth Cadet Air Training Squadron 1956-1960. It is now a Basic Flying Training Unit ar Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, Somerset on Grob Trainers.

Origin/meaning
The Latin Motto translates as "To rule the sea, one must rule the sky". The Badge was approved in 1956.
