Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 9, 1981.
The point with the cross are canting for the -Kirchen name of the municipality. The cross also refers to the St. Florian Abbey to which the local church belongs.
The two wavy flanks are symbols for the two Ipfbach rivers in the municipality.
