ORMONT-DESSOUS
Canton : Vaud
Official blazon
De gueules à la tour crénelée d'argent, soutenue d'un mont d'or et accostée de quatre étoiles du second.
Origin/meaning
These arms were adopted in 1921.
The tower is reminiscent of the old castle of Aigremont, built by the lords of Pontverre in the fourteenth century. The stars symbolize the four "seytes" or parts of commune. The base refers to the Mont-d'Or ('golden mountain'), located in the municipality.
