Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 11, 1997.

The silver lines resemble the pallium of the Abbots of the Saint Maxime Abbey, to which the village historically belonged. The wavy lines in chief refer to the Sévenne river, the wheat stalk symbolises agriculture. The mill iron refers to the former water mills in the municipality.
