Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 20, 1944. The Iron sign alludes to the name (Sw. Järn = Iron) and the Iron Works of Snöån, Andersfors and Eriksfors. The Ear of Oats, symbolises the Agriculure of the Area.
