Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially registered in 1982.

The arms show a horse, which is taken from the arms of the former Flakkebjerg Herred, to which the area historically belonged. The division line symbolises the Hashøj hill, after which the municipality is named. The horse also symbolises the strength of the municipality.
