KĘPICE

Province: Pomorze
County: Słupsk

Arms of Kępice
Official blazon
Polish blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on March 30, 2017.

The arms show the griffin from the historical coat of arms of the Duchy of Słupsk, and symbols for the industrialization of the area (a water mill wheel and a paper scroll). The scroll symbolizes the paper mills that operated in the area for over one hundred years.

The arms replaced older arms, also showing a griffin and water mill wheel, but the griffin holding a canting oak leaf (the name is derived from the word leaf). Those arms were adopted qround 2004.

In turn, these arms replaced arms adopted in 1977, showing a leaf and the letter K.
