HMS TEMERAIRE, ROYAL NAVY

History: Name of Upper Yardman School 1956-1960, Royal Navy School of Physical Training at Portsmouth 1971-today.

Official blazon
English Blue; on battlement of a tower gold a lion rampant regardant supporting a flagstaff gold flying therefrom a pennon forked at the fly white charged with a cross throughout red.

Origin/meaning

A French Ship captured by Captain Castillion at Lagos Bay in 1759. The badge was approved in 1956.
