NO 772 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1939 at Royal Naval Air Station Lee-on-Solent. Disbanded in 1948. Reformed 1974-1995 as a Search and Rescue Unit.

Origin/meaning

The badge was approved in 1975. The replacing an older Badge approved in 1942 : White: issuant from water barry wavy of four blue and white an arm embowed proper vested white the hand grasping a trident gold impaled theron a twin-engined aircraft black.
