History: Formed at Aliminni, Italy in April 1918.
Official blazon
In front of an anchor Or two swords in saltire argent (pomelled and hilted Or) the points uppermost.
Motto: We guide the sword.
Origin/meaning
The Squadron was originally part of the Royal Naval Air Service hence the anchor. It later become associated with the Army as indicated by the Swords. The Badge was approved in August 1940.
