History: First formed at Naval Air station Norfolk, Virginia, USA and disbanded in 1946. Finally reformed 1957-1960 with Sea Venoms.

Origin/meaning
The Winged Seahorse allude to the Pegasus emblem of the US Naval Aviation and thus indicate formation of the Squadron in the USA. The Latin Motto translates as "Capable of anything, anywhere". The Badge was approved on 25 April 1944.
