Stema Ghiroda

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 12, 2013.

The cross refers to the monuments erected to the military pilots from the local aviation unit which were killed in the two world wars and the heroes of the Revolution of December 1989.

The two silver wings symbolise the International Airport "Traian Vuia" Timisoara.

The blue wavy bar symbolizes the Bega river crossing the southern part of the area, and gold field represents the abundance of cereal crops in the municipality.
