Stema Zagon

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 24, 2009.

The lions come from the coats of arms of Counts Mikes of Zăbala and Barons Szentkereszty of Zagon, who owned domains on the territory of the locality.

The stars symbolize the number of villages belonging to the commune.

Fir is the main basic occupation of the inhabitants - forestry.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
