Wappen von Eichberg (Steiermark)/Arms (crest) of Eichberg (Steiermark)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 28, 1988.

The name of the municipality was Kleinschlag until 1999.

Kleinschlag is a Rodungsname (a "name of clearing"), a name springing from the time when colonists cut their homesteads out of the vast woods. Originally, it was named Khuenschlag, the clearing of Konrad (von Eichberg). The village took up the coat of arms of the von Eichberg family (local lords and administrators of the Middle Ages).

The oak leaves were added in commemoration of the von Eichbergs and also as a hint to the oak woods in the region.
