Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2014.

The arms are largely based on the 1850 proposal for arms of Geelong, with the addition of supporters and change of motto. The motto was one of the mottoes propose din 1850, but was not chosen at the time. The supporters are based on a version of the old arms that is featured on the façade of City Hall.
