English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on March 8, 2024.
The arms have a V-shape, symbolising the town's initial. The other elements are taken from the first and last families that owned the village. The two short axes are taken from the arms of Jean de Béthisy, lord of La Vicogne in 1216. The flame is taken from the arms of the Feuquel de La Vicogne family, lords in the 18th century.
The green refers to the ancient and large forest which still covered a large part of North Amiens in the Middle Ages.
