Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 3, 1964.
Originally Nestelbach means Nesselbach, "brook of nettles". Thus, leaves of nettle were put into the arms as well as the brook, symbolised by the wavy bar. The crosiers stand for the Archdiocese of Salzburg and the Diocese of Seckau, who were the local lords of the land during the feudal ages.
