Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona

Escudo de L'Albiol/Arms (crest) of L'Albiol
Official blazon
Catalan Escut caironat: de sinople, un castell d'argent tancat de sable acompanyat d'una creu d'argent a cada costat. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 23, 1985.

The castle is the local one (originally muslim), now in ruins. The two Tau crosses (or crosses of Santa Tecla) refer to the fact that the archbishops of Tarragona where the lords of this castle. Tecla is the patron saint of Tarragona, the nearby regional centre.
