Redesignated as 97 Food Service Squadron on 16 Mar 1950. Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952. Activated on 1 Jul 1959. Redesignated as 97 Services Squadron on 1 Oct 1965. Inactivated on 1 Mar 1970. Activated on 1 Oct 1979. Inactivated on 31 May 1992. Redesignated as 97 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 21 Aug 1992. Activated on 1 Oct 1992. Redesignated as:97 Services Squadron on 1 Jan 1994; 97 Force Support Squadron on 1 Jun 2008.
