DIEMERSWIL

Canton: Bern

Wappen von Diemerswil/Arms (crest) of Diemerswil
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were devised in 1920 and show in the upper part the cross of the Knights of St. John. The village was a possession of the Knights until the Reformation in the 16th century. The rose in the lower part is taken from the arms of the Von Fellenberg family, who had an estate in the municipality.
