Origin/meaningThe arms show St. Michael the Archangel crushing the serpent beneath his foot. This is a reference to the miraculous appearance of the angel/saint on a peak on the Gargano, the spur at the back of the heel of Italy's ‘boot’. Like many of the places where the archangel has been seen in legend, it has a higher elevation. This hill is now known as Monte Sant'Angelo and can be seen in the background of the arms, above the green plain. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
