Attached below the shield is a black scroll inscribed "MINISTRARE TUEBIMUR" in gold
Origin/meaning
Red, yellow and blue represent the combat arms. The piles and bars suggest the Rocky Mountains and the sunset of the west alluding to the unit’s home location in Montana. The bayonet highlights total military readiness.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was authorized on 2 December 1997.
