KALL (JÄMTLAND)

Province (Landskap): Jämtland
County (Län): Jämtlands län
Incorporated into : 1971 Åre

Kall (Jämtland) kommunvapen
Official blazon
Swedish

I fält av silver en röd älghornskrona över en av vågskura bildad blå stam.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 30, 1961.

The arms show an elk-antler, as elk are common in the region. Also, in stone age images found in the region elk antlers were already shown, making them a symbol of the long inhabitation of the area. The wavy division line symbolises the many lakes in the municipality.
