Origin/meaning
The saltire refers to St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland, while the arms of Nova Scotia refer to the regiment's home in that province. The Motto translates as "Breed of manly men".
The badge was approved by the Canadian Heraldic Authority on September 1, 2000.
