Origin/meaning
The gyrfalcon, found in northern Canada, is known for its exceptional fighting ability. The sun suggests bringing light and information to the troops and thus represents the squadron’s original role in fighter reconnaissance. The Latin Motto translates as "Swiftly and surely".
